Disc Golf in Laredo, Texas — What You Need to Know

Laredo has one disc golf course right now. One. I know, because I live here and I've played it more times than I can count. But that's changing — a second course is in development, and the community around the sport has been growing steadily for the past few years.

If you're in Laredo and you're curious about disc golf, here's everything you need to know to get started.

Where to Play

The main course in Laredo is free and open to the public. It's a solid layout for learning the game — enough variety to keep it interesting, manageable enough that a new player won't feel completely lost. Grab the UDisc app on your phone, search Laredo, and you'll find it with GPS maps and hole-by-hole information.

A second course is in the works for the city. We've been pushing for it and the momentum is real. When it opens it'll give players more options and more reason to stay involved in the sport locally.

Where to Buy Discs in Laredo

You're already here. Laredo Disc Golf Store is the only local source for disc golf gear in the city. We carry discs from Innova, Discraft, Latitude 64, Discmania, MVP, Axiom, and Dynamic Discs — all in stock, all ready to ship or available for local pickup at our Drop Zone.

If you want to try something before you commit or you have questions about what to buy, reach out. I'm a local player and I answer my own messages.

El Chainazo

El Chainazo is a recurring disc golf putting event I started in 2025. The idea was simple — bigger cities have leagues, putting events, meetups, and social disc golf activities beyond just showing up to the course alone. Laredo should have that too.

El Chainazo is low-pressure, open to all skill levels, and a good way to meet other players in the city. Follow Laredo Disc Golf Store on Instagram for dates and details.

Getting Started

The barrier to entry is low. Three discs, a comfortable pair of shoes, and a free afternoon. The Laredo course is free to play. If you want a recommendation on which discs to buy for your first bag, check out our beginner guide — and we carry starter sets that take the guesswork out completely.

The sport is growing here. Good time to get in early.
